This workshop offers an engaging and interactive way for children to learn more about the legacy of this highly influential civilisation.

Being a warrior was part of growing up in Ancient Greece and how he was trained and what he carried with him tell us a lot about their society.

Format

• Introduction to Ancient Greece using the Hoplite's gear as a stimulus for learning about city states such as Athens and Sparta.

• Character-led storytelling session with the legendary Odysseus the telling tales of the Trojan War and his long, and adventurous journey home to Ithaca.

Extension

This workshop can be extended with:

• Greek myth storytelling session to include stories such as Demeter and Persephone, Theseus and the Minotaur and King Midas.
